ARMOURED CIVILIAN VEHICLES
SVI Engineering offers discreet bullet-resistant civilian vehicles. Think of armour in a similar vein as other safety systems such as ABS, airbags and crumple zones – technology that blends into the background when not in use but is able to save lives when called upon.
SVI MAX 3 RANGE
The MAX 3 was developed by SVI to give security forces the required equipment to deal with violent crime, terrorism, violent demonstrations and regional conflicts. The vehicle is available in various body configurations.
SVI MAX 9 APC
The MAX 9 is our largest armoured personnel carrier (APC), capable of carrying eight and offering military levels of ballistic and blast protection. Sporting a 285 kW/970 Nm Cummins turbodiesel engine and Allison auto transmission, it promises extreme off-road performance.
ARMOURED SECURITY VEHICLES
SVI supplies a wide range of armour to South Africa’s security industry (as well as sub-sectors such as mining), including various semi-discreet Stopgun V2.0 (B4+ and B6) options for high-risk applications such as cash-in-transit (and other valuables-in-transit) vehicles.
DRIVER TRAINING
Recognising a growing need, SVI developed a comprehensive driver-training programme with the ultimate goal of protecting lives. Our course comprises five modules that shape participants into highly skilled armoured-vehicle drivers.
ARMOURED GUARDHOUSES
SVI identified a need for armoured guardhouses in remote areas of development. The solution is this B6 level (assault rifle) protected guardhouse. The layout and equipment fitted can be specified by the client.
ANTI-RIOT SCRAPER
Our anti-riot scraper has been designed to safely clear a path through debris, allowing security and medical personnel access to critical locations. It is hydraulically adjusted and can be ordered with an optional fire-extinguishing function for the blade.
BULLETPROOF GLASS
Ballistic glass is a key component of the full armouring package. SVI employs only the best-quality AGP glass imported from South America to limit distortion, provide excellent clarity and prevent delamination over time.
