SVI Engineering offers meticulously crafted B6 discreet armouring packages (protecting against assault rifles, including AK47, R1 and R5) for various ladder-frame vehicles.
B6 DISCREET CIVILIAN ARMOUR
Our B6 discreet armour for civilian vehicles provides 360-degree protection against assault rifles (up to 7.62 x 51 mm, including AK47, R1 and R5). It is the highest grade of civilian-vehicle armour available in SA without the need for a special permit.
ARMOURING PROCESS (EN 1063) B6
B6 discreet bodywork:
High-grade ballistic steel panels are precisely cut and bonded to the sheet-metal areas, with the appearance of the vehicle remaining similar to that of a standard un-armoured model. Coverage includes:
- Entire passenger cell, including partial firewall and footwell area
- A-, B- and C-pillar sections
- All side doors
- Neat rear bulkhead solution typically employed for SUVs
- Overlaps for door closures, windscreen and rear screen
- Critical powertrain components protected, too
B6 discreet glass:
In our standard B6 discreet armouring packages, all window glass is replaced with state-of-the-art 38 mm ballistic glass, which is curved to OE specification and appearance.
- Driver’s window can lower around 150 mm, depending on the vehicle
- High durability, purpose-manufactured actuators replace the original winding system
- All other windows are fixed, unless otherwise specified
- Full protection for vehicle’s sensor package, where fitted
B6 discreet available body styles:
Our B6 discreet packages are suitable only for ladder-frame (i.e., body-on-frame) vehicles. A full suspension upgrade is included in the package.
